Safeguarding
Newport County Association Football Club is committed to providing a safe and positive
environment for everyone involved in its services and activities. The Club takes its extended moral
and legal duty of care very seriously in relation to children and young people. Newport County
AFC is committed to safeguarding and aims to create a culture of vigilance from Board level and
throughout the club. We seek to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children and to protect
them from harm or abuse when they engage in any activities conducted under the name of
Newport County Association Football Club.
We recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all
children. We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are
respected and valued. We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to
ensure that children receive effective support, protection and justice.
